No Architecture For Oil

We Make Money Not Art reviews Sorry, Out of Gas: Architecture’s Response to the 1973 Oil Crisis, the catalog of essays, illustrations, and images published in tandem with a Canadian Centre for Architecture exhibition that "explored the architectural innovation spurred by the 1973 oil crisis." The book looks at new ideas that came out of the shortage, like the solar-powered Dover Sun House; and old ideas that were scrapped because of it, like Matti Suuronen's Futuro House, which was made out of plastic and delivered by helicopter.
