Opponents of a proposed 229-home development on the Verdugo Hills golf court say Calabasas-based MWH Development/Snowball Investments is asking $20 million for the land, reports the Daily News. The developer purchased the land for $7.6 million in 2004. "They're pricing it as if they had been granted a variance," one member of Save the Golf Course tells the News. Efforts to fight the project, which is going through the EIR process, are ongoing.
