Downtown Parking Structure Round-Up*: 717 Ninth, Market Lofts and Gas Company

New, 16 comments

The latest construction shots of the parking lot at 717 Ninth quite clearly show that like office-turned-condo building 1100 Wilshire, this rental building will rise above a very hefty-looking parking lot. According to the latest information on developer Meruelo Maddux's web site, the 35-story residential tower will offer 214 apartments, 6,800 square feet ground floor retail, and 322 parking stalls (this info may have changed). And of course, there are balconies. You can check out the rendering--a nighttime shot of the tower and parking lot which make the lot look rather disco-like--here. Maybe they could grow sod on the side? Probably no permits for that. And there's a few shots of the planned parking lot plus retail on Flower Street, which was the planned parking lot for Market Lofts and Gas Company Lofts. Meanwhile, is developer CIM still planning to take Gas Company condo?
