The Will Rogers Ranch Foundation is none too pleased with how things are going at the Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades and the group is seeking to take over management of the state park, reports the Los Angeles Times. "In a letter to parks Director Ruth Coleman, members of the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation said Thursday that the state's shaky finances 'point to the clear need to create new working relationships with organizations such as ours.'" Among other things, construction on a visitors center has been halted. and visiting hours to the main ranch house cut. Other similar successful private-public partnerships noted in the story include the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento. [LA Times]
