What It Sold For: Silver Lake Flips Out Over Tiny Cottage

New, 56 comments

Remember that 1920s cottage in Silver Lake that was listed last month at $399,000? You'll recall the 900 square foot home--which was rehabbed--last sold in February 2009 for $210,000. And you'll recall that listing agent Matt Manner boasted he could get $500,000 for it. Turns out buyers are as hopped up as those tiny, heat-crazed ants running around your Eastside kitchen. "The place closed at $550,000 this past Tuesday," Manner writes in an email. "I had over 16 offers."
