The latest installment of LA Weekly's interviews with restaurant designers "But How's the Food" is online, this time checking in with Spacecraft's Kristopher Keith. Keith is the designer behind multiple Hollywood establishments including Essex, Delux, Boho, Kitchen 24, and the Bowery. While Keith discusses his distaste for flocked wallpaper and being micromanaged, he also lets slip what he thought of restaurant in design before he moved to LA: "I needed to move to a bigger market. I decided in Los Angeles there was nothing in design going on; it was a void. I relocated here in 2001." And in typical Hollywood mythologizing, Keith mentions his time here without a home, job or car before he made it. [LA Weekly]
