The latest dish from Eater LA, Curbed's hedonistic eating and drinking blog...
HOLLYWOOD: Cahuenga club Halo lasted just four months before going on the block, and now it's been bought by SBE. It's only a matter of time before Sam Nazarian is all our landlords.
HOLLYWOOD: Lots to eat at The Lofts @ Hollywood and Vine. Eater confirms that Lonnie Moore and Mike Malin of the Dolce Group are taking over the Vine Street Lounge's old space on the ground floor and will open a new 8,000 square feet restaurant/club. Dillon's Irish Pub & Grill will open soon next door, and is promising the "lowest valet prices in Hollywood." Expect a traffic jam.
LOS ANGELES: The first review of new banh mi truck Nom Nom Truck is in: "Overall, good. The bread was a nice toasted baguette with a good crust to it, and the pork was really good, except for one or two gristly bits. Not really spicy at all, unfortunately (I don't remember seeing any chiles on it), and not enough carrots on the sandwich for my taste." The truck is "soft rolling" now.
