The LA Times reports that Elsie Poncher, widow of entrepreneur Richard Poncher, is putting her late husband's crypt in the Westwood Village Memorial Park up for sale on eBay to cover her Beverly Hills mortgage. Richard bought the crypt directly above Marilyn Monroe's from Joe DiMaggio in the fifties, and Elsie apparently would rather hock that than one of her Picassos. She also seems hopeful that the crypt bubble hasn't popped yet: while Hugh Hefner bought the space next to Monroe in 1992 for $75,000, Poncher is asking $500,000 for the one above.
