The Most Interesting Place in LA County

BoingBoing blogger Xeni Jardin posts video of one of her favorite waterfalls, on Solstice Canyon trail in Malibu, which is very pleasant, but then she gets into all the other stuff going on there: there's a stone cabin from the 1800s nearby, TRW Inc. and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory used to test rocket payloads in the park, and on the same trail there are burnt-out ruins of a Paul Williams ranch house whose owner, the first black man elected to the California State Assembly, died in a car crash before he could ever move in.
