West Hollywood announced yesterday it was tossing out the city fees associated with hooking up solar panels to homes and businesses. According to the press release, residents and business owners last year had to pay an average of $1,000 and $1,800 in city fees for the installation. Sun worshippers will still have to pay any state or federal charges that go along with installing solar panels. On the bright side, WeHo has a nifty Green Building Manual for solar laymen/ladies.
