Artist Peter Shire's red and yellow geometric sculptures have been along Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood for some time, and tonight, another one of his art pieces will go up--as an arch to the NoHo Arts District--in North Hollywood, reports LAist.com, which notes that its commenters haven't exactly been overwhelmingly positive about this latest work. More about the arch/art piece from Noho Arts: "NoHo is turning 30 years old this year and the NoHo Gateway project, designed by renowned Los Angeles artist Peter Shire, marks the first of three much-anticipated public art works to be completed during this anniversary year."
