New, 4 comments

BEVERLY HILLS: The people behind For Your Art are helping throw the first ever Public Art Party this weekend, a walking, self-guided tour. Walking and art, who doesn't enjoy those two things. More via the press release: The party "invites Angelenos to celebrate public art in Beverly Hills and the renowned Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama whose public sculpture, Hymn of Life: Tulips, is located on Santa Monica Boulevard and Rodeo Drive by participating in a one-day, self-guided walking tour. The party will go from noon until 6pm on Saturday, July 11." More information via the official web site. [Curbed Inbox]

DOWNTOWN: A reader sends in word that workers are adding concrete forms to the site of that planned parking lot/garage across from LA Live/the former site of the Baker Hotel. Exciting! [Curbed InBox]
