Under Culver reports that the terrifying-to-read Dr. Housing Bubble blog is declaring that Culver City is next in line to take a major real estate hit. Given Culver City's size, what neighborhoods are expected to fall? Writes Under Culver: "Rather than focusing on Carlson Park/Park East, however, the post targets Studio Estates--that tiny strip of real estate north of Culver and west of Overland that apparently used to be an MGM backlot." According to the Dr. Housing Bubble Blog, we're now starting to see the decline of prices in the mid to upper priced bracket "with the Alt-A and option ARM tsunami coming online later this year.." The blog considers the history of one doomed-looking Culver City home that it calls a "mortgage equity withdrawal machine." [Under Culver]
