Riders on a Train

New, 9 comments

The Downtown News covers a recent visit to Los Angeles by a group of train fanatics who travel the country, riding rails. It sounds like the group, who hit every inch of the Metro subway system, isn't interested in discussing issues like infrastructure or high-speed funding--they just like to ride the trains. "Most OTOL [On-Track-On-Line.com] riders, however, weren’t eager to talk transit policy. In fact, beyond casual chit-chat amongst each other, most preferred not to talk at all. Instead they gazed out the window, even when there was seemingly nothing to see underground, and took in the sounds of the moving machine." [Downtown News]
