You Can Wear Old Sweats at Terranea

New, 5 comments

Despite its rocky financial beginnings, the Terranea Resort, that 102-acre oceanside resort in Rancho Palos Verde, is drawing very favorable reviews. The Los Angeles Times' Valli Herman greatly enjoyed her stay ("The expansive resort is at once inviting and invigorating but not so grand that you'll fret if your labels aren't designer") as did other guests who are quoted in the Times story as calling the new resort the "Mexican Riviera" and like being on the "Mediterranean." Lodging can cost you $400 a night, but it looks like a special of $145/night is currently going on. No word on how those 82 residential for-sale units are moving. [LA Times]
