Come support our withering economy, tourists! Madame Tussaud's soft-opened its ninth wax museum yesterday, a three-story, 40,000-square-foot buiding designed by ROTO Architects. The official opening for the museum, located at Hollywood Blvd and Orange Dr, isn't until August 1st, but visitors can still get in and check out the statues, which take three months to make, according to the press release. Stopping by the museum this morning, we asked the security guard which statue was most life-like. "They've got a pretty good Obama," was the reply. Come August 1st, the price of admission to see the figures (including a statue of Mayor Villaraigosa) is $25 adults/$18 children.
