The Los Angeles Times takes a look at the motor home colony in LAX's Lot B, where about 100 airline employees live when they're on duty. Air travel's troubles mean pilots and other workers have to take more assignments far from home. Rent is cheap at the Lot B colony--$60 a month, but it's a little noisy--it's less than 3,500 feet from a runway. And there's even an unofficial mayor. [LA Times, image via]
