Now Motel 6 is hip? Businessweek chronicles the hotel chain's make-over, which comes courtesy of British design company Priestman Goode (the same firm which did the airplane cabins for Virgin Atlantic and cruise ship rooms for Norwegian Cruise Lines.) Consider it the Target-izing of economy motels. The first revamped Motel 6 was introduced in May in Santa Barbara and since then, nearly 60 percent of the chain's hotels have been revamped.
