From solar energy company HelioPower's blog, a video of the solar panel installation at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. There are now 132 photovoltaic panels on the restaurant's famous carport and a nearby flat-roofed building. Bob's oldest still-running restaurant was designed by Googie master Wayne McAllister and built in 1949. We'll see if the solar thing works better than a poorly-thought out plan to put the Big Boy on a giant fiberglass treadmill. [Helio, image via]
