The tower of 600 Spring, site of the great paint job of Summer 2009, is CONCRETE not marble, as we noted earlier this week. Just the base of the building is marble, downtown resident Brady Westwater confirms in an email. It's unclear if the base, which was blasted last year to create windows, is also being painted over. UPDATE: Email from 600 Spring developer Barry Shy, explaining the base will be painted, too: "The building is concrete and we are going to paint the granite. Thanks for your interest." [Curbed Inbox]
