The Washington Post reports back on that urban policy meeting at the White House yesterday where "President Barack Obama said...that federal policy has encouraged urban sprawl, has hurt city residents and damaged the environment." The President talked up cities as our future, but the White House's blog also quotes him doing a little hedging: "[I]t's not just our cities that are hotbeds of innovation anymore, it's our growing metropolitan areas," he said, referring to suburbs and exurbs.
