Hate Thy Neighbor

We're sure that's what producer Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor) is hoping for with his new show, There Goes the Neighborhood. Variety is reporting that the reality program, which debuts August 9 on CBS, "has already been drawing attention for the sheer spectacle it has created in suburban Atlanta, where a massive 20-foot wall has enclosed an entire block of homes." Fleiss calls the show a "social experiment" (plot: "With little electricity and no contact with the outside world, the families are forced to reconnect as they face off with their neighbors.") Funny that they chose to shoot in Atlanta rather than the Los Angeles area, where all the Bachelor/ette shows are shot. Wethinks Hancock Park and Beverly Hills would be a bit less amused by that wall. [Daily Variety]
