The legal battle over the historic property dubbed Tara on Laurel Ave in West Hollywood seems like it might be coming to an end. Via Weho News, the "Save Tara" preservationists have "lost the latest, and the most pivotal, of the legal battles at the state appellate level," allowing the City of West Hollywood to develop the property into 28 units of senior housing. However, the property is going to take a while before it ever becomes a senior residence. The city needs to find $7 million in funding, and may still be required to submit a new or supplemental Environmental Impact Report. We're hoping it might actually open by the time we're ready to retire. [Image of Tara via WehoNews] [WehoNews]
