A reader sends in a report on "500 Days of Summer," a LA-based movie that's generating a lot of buzz. "Saw a free sneak of the movie last night; Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a failed architect! He and Zooey work downtown, and he likes to sit in parks and examine the skyline, discussing what he would add. There's lots of sketching of buildings, as well as some other cool architecture-related stuff that I can't remember now. :)" It's been said "the film highlights some of LA’s older architecture" and shows the city in a positive light. Crows one reviewer: "I don’t remember seeing one free way or traffic jam." Yeah, you can't get to spell "freeway" right unless you live here!
