CurbedWire: Latest A + D Museum Construction, Belmont Finished?

New, 4 comments

MID-WILSHIRE: Via the Architecture + Design Museum's Facebook page, interior construction shots of the museum's new home on Wilshire. The museum is expected to move into its new space at 6032 Wilshire Blvd this fall, after it vacated its former space at 5900 Wilshire earlier this year. It was reported that Richard Meier & Partners and Gensler will donate design work services. While they aren't mentioned on the Facebook page, design/build company Hinerfeld-Ward, Turner Construction, and Minardos Group are thanked. [Facebook]

WILSHIRE CORRIDOR: Via the Inbox: "Curbed, I think that Belmont Village, that oldies homes is done. Drove by and it looked finished or nearly so. " We wrote about that new senior living facility, located between Warner Avenue and Holmby Avenue (it'll provide 172 units) last summer, noting that the home was supposed to be finished in summer 2009, so perhaps it's done. Hope those oldies are happily moved in. [Curbed InBox]
