That is the sound of thousands of co-ed hearts breaking at once. Actor, stoner, screenwriter, Gucci model and UCLA alum James Franco (still our favorite freak in "Freaks and Geeks"), will NOT be speaking at UCLA's commencement ceremony (for UCLA’s College of Letters and Science*) on June 12. According to a prepared statement published by the school, "I deeply regret not being able to keep my commitment to giving the commencement speech at UCLA's graduation this year. Unfortunately the date conflicts with me needing to be on location to begin pre-production on my next film. I wish everyone in the 2009 class the best of luck in all of their future endeavors." The school is now seeking alternate speakers "based on recommendations from a selection committee" but we guarantee you whoever they select won't be nearly as hot as Franco.
