Downtowners have been wondering what color developer Barry Shy is going to paint the exterior of his SB Spring building at 600 Spring Street, and today, some possible clues emerged as to what the final result may be. There are white and gray patches on a portion of the building. Primer? Paint swatches? Shy is out of the country and his office staff could only pass on word that "they're testing colors," but staffers couldn't say definitely whether these two patches were the colors being tested. With Shy out of town, no one seemed to know what was going on, but on the upside, no one seemed to notice when we ran amok in the building and took photos. Meanwhile, there's a rather amazing deck space right below the color swatches, which it looks to be accessible via the under-construction residences.
