The Downtown News gets the latest info on an opening date for the Gold Line Extension, the six-mile train line which'll go from Union Station to East LA, from Art Leahy, Metro CEO. "The agency is not contractually obligated to open the line until December, but Leahy said he expects passengers to climb aboard 'before September.' Metro anticipates that the opening 13,000 passengers will use the line every day." There'd been previous chatter the line would open in June. [Downtown News]
