No wonder he is hiring. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Neil Denari has signed on to do the interiors at the new WME Entertainment space on Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills. "Denari confirmed the news in a phone conversation Friday afternoon, happily calling the commission a "recession-buster job."...Denari will design 170,000 square feet of interior space spread over six floors, including a 200-seat screening room at ground level, and will oversee the job without an executive architect." The news follows rumblings that architecture firm Gensler, which was originally hired to do the interiors, was removed from doing that portion of the work by WME head Ari Emanuel, who reportedly wasn't a fan of the firm's work at 2000 Avenue of the Stars. As the Times points out, Emanuel had previously worked with Denari on the officers for Endeavor (the talent agency founded by Emanuel). But Gensler, a firm which got its start doing interiors, will continue to do the building that'll house WME's offices.
