The landlord took him to court seeking eviction, and won. Today, Mr. Emanuel has a $10 million home in the Brentwood neighborhood..." For those power-hungry young assistants working their way up from the mailroom: Via Craigslist, it looks like a one-bedroom in a Spanish-style building in the Fairfax district now goes for about $1,275.
