West Millennium: Chapter 7

New, 12 comments

First the founders of development company West Millennium Group filed for personal bankruptcy because they guaranteed many of the loans on their projects, and then the Brockman building was put into foreclosure, and now the actual company, West Millennium, is in Chapter 7, reports the Downtown News. (Generally, Chapter 7 is thought of as liquidation and Chapter 11 is thought of as re-organization.) "A trustee, Amy Goldman of the law firm Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP* has taken over the property, though [West Millennium] said he expects the bank to foreclose within the next two months." Meanwhile, the building's restaurant, Bottega Louie, is the most popular downtown spot around. Sweet irony. [Downtown News]
