If anyone was up all night, tossing and turning, and wondering if indeed the city of Inglewood approved that sprawling mixed-use development on the site of the Hollywood Park race track (the City Council was supposed to hear the matter last night), here's an update: No decision was made. According to the City's web site: "The Public Hearings Pertaining to the Proposed 238-Acre Hollywood Park Mixed-Use Project at 1050 South Prairie Avenue have been continued to Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 5:30 p.m." A city clerk confirms the vote has been pushed back. Meanwhile, satiate yourself with some models. Stockbridge Real Estate Funds, a San Mateo-based investment firm, is proposing ditching the ponies for a 620,000-square foot retail/ entertainment center, 2,995 residential units, 75,000 square feet of office space, a 300-room hotel, and more.
