There'll finally be some activity this week on that long-dormant corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Van Ness Avenue: The Los Angeles Fire Department is breaking ground on a fire station that'll replace the current Station 82 on Bronson Ave. The ground-breaking is scheduled for this Thursday, according to a press release issued by the LAFD. Last we heard, this was going to be a $30 million, 32,000-square-foot green-roofed fire station, but there's no confirmation there's still a green roof.*
