New, 24 comments

Following the California Supreme Court's decision that upheld the state's ban on gay marriage, a number of local rallies/protests are planned. Here's the latest list. You can likely expect traffic tie-ups at some of these locations:
12 NOON, EAST LA: News conference and rally at the L.A. County Marriage License Office, 4716 E. Cesar Chavez Avenue.
4 PM, WESTWOOD: March begins at Bruin Bear on UCLA campus to Federal Building on Wilshire and Veteran.
6 PM, DOWNTOWN: A rally is planned for Pershing Square.
7 PM, WEST HOLLYWOOD: Major rally planned at corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and San Vicente.
7 PM, LONG BEACH: Rally meets at Alamitos Avenue and Broadway, for march to Bixby Park Band Stand at First Street and Cherry Avenue.
There is an unconfirmed report from the DayofDecision website about a rally in Santa Monica at 6 pm beginning at 235 Hill Street that will proceed to the Santa Monica Courthouse. [DayofDecision]
