Hollywood Park Project Advances

New, 5 comments

The Daily Breeze reports that the Inglewood Planning Commission approved plans for that sprawling mixed-use development on the site of the Hollywood Park race track, a move that sends it onto a full City Council vote on May 28th. According to the official web site for the project, the development will have, among other things, a 620,000-square foot retail/ entertainment center, 2,995 residential units, 75,000 square feet of office space, and a 300-room hotel. The Los Angeles Business Journal reports that if the project is approved, "the park’s owners said they’ll close the current facility and begin demolishing the track by Aug. 1."
