Alhambra: Hey, We're Just Fine

New, 19 comments

Today's Pasadena Star-News heads to burgeoning hipster hood Alhambra, pointing out that the city hasn't been knocked out of the development game by the economy. Volkswagen just signed a lease and there's also this bit of news: "The city also recently agreed to enter into a development agreement on a $30 million mixed-use project at Main and Third streets. The proposal by Zen Development Co. would consist of up to 94 condominium units and 5,000 square feet of retail or restaurant space." We're curious to know what these condos look like since $30 million isn't a huge amount of money for a mixed-use project. Additionally, the paper points out that six restaurants and a Fresh & Easy have opened this year. Chug on, Alhambra. [PSN]
