Since the last check of 801 N. Fairfax, that new apartment/retail development right up the street from Melrose Avenue, the building has added some type of material that's given it a dark base. Looking good, 801 N. Fairfax. And the 93-unit building has also started leasing and a quick look at Craigslist shows that there a handful of one-bedroom, one-baths listed; these particular units range from $1,500-$1,700. The building's web site also notes there are two-bedrooms. And to remind you all, this is local developer Frost Chaddock, the same firm that has proposed a mixed-use development at 4000 Sunset Blvd, a suggestion that has gotten some Silver Lake residents all riled up.
