The last time we featured a Lautner for sale, it took almost a year to find a buyer, and a drastic pricechop from the original $2.2 million list price to the $1.525 million sales price in January. Did its location in La Canada Flintridge dampen enthusiasm for architect Lautner's design? And will this two-bedroom, two-bath post & beam in Pasadena suffer the same fate? According to the listing, the house, located in the "Laguna Road Landmark District" (which seems to be a realtor's invention, as there's no Pasadena Landmark District with that name), features "curved and semi-circular walls...of glass and soaring ceilings. Additional materials include; copper, exotic woods including teak, mahogany and African walnut, concrete floors and cantilevered steel columns." It was last sold in 1986 for $235,000. Today's asking price: $1.249 million or $674 per square foot.
