Virgin Mary Has Her Head Back

New, 26 comments

The Santa Monica Daily Press first reported that the head of the 55-year-old marble statue at St. Monica Catholic Church had been found cut off on Easter morning, but now there's some good news via LA Stories: "The picture above is one I took a few days ago when I noticed that the repairs to the statue were complete." The blog also recounts the event via Santa Monica Daily News. "Authorities said they are not sure how the head was removed, but [church spokesperson Jason] Farmer said that the top is not detachable." [LA Stories, photo courtesy of; SMDP]
