CRA Needs To Redevelop Its Offices

New, 17 comments

In a story that "smacks of irony," the Downtown News reports that the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), which is currently housed in the Banco Popular Center at 354 S. Spring Street, may have to relocate because conditions in the building are so poor. Here's a description of the building via one unnamed tenant: "...burned out common area light bulbs, dirty carpets and floors and a leaky stained-glass skylight in the lobby that was long covered by a black tarp. One elevator (the building has four) is still not working after at least four years on the fritz." The CRA, of course, is the agency that works to redevelop neighborhoods around the city. The landlord is local company Jamison Properties. [Image via You-Are-Here] [Downtown News]
