CurbedWire: Prefab Workshop in LA, Last Remaining Seats

New, 5 comments

LOS ANGELES: Prefab lovers, take notice. Next week in LA, there's a workshop that'll teach you all about prefab, including this little green mobile prefab, the Sustain MiniHome, made by a company in Canada. More via Dwell: "Toronto-based Sustain Design Studio, creator of the much-touted MiniHome, is teaming up with Dwell for a series of workshops in Los Angeles and San Francisco that will give you the low-down on living like a modern nomad. Sustain's Trevor McIvor and Andy Thomson will be coming to both events to talk about their new 12WIDE MiniHome." You can check out more about the talks here and here. [Curbed InBox]

DOWNTOWN: Occasionally, membership actually does have its privileges. Case in point: tickets to the LA Conservancy's Last Remaining Seats program went on sale yesterday to Conservancy members. Last Remaining Seats is the annual series of classic films in the historic theatres of Los Angeles. This year's program includes The Sting, Cabaret (Liza!), and A Streetcar Named Desire. Tickets go on sale to the general public April 15th. [Curbed Staff]
