On the Racked: General Growth Bankrupt, Ed Hardy Wine, Twittering MJ Auction

New, 19 comments

The latest store info, retail gossip and sidewalk scenes from street-obsessed Racked LA.

GLENDALE: General Growth, which owns Glendale Galleria and over 200 other shopping centers, filed bankruptcy, a move that was apparently a long time coming. Likely the mall kids won't even notice while the company re-organizes, right? Meanwhile, Racked LA also picks up on the news that Americana has seen a surge in visitors since it announced free parking.

LOS ANGELES: Good lord, Ed Hardy wine. The guy helping spur on the fancy jean pocket trend has also launched an Ed Hardy wine label. Apparently, the vino comes in rosé and Chardonnay, and is available at Whole Foods. And the name: The Cool Wine.

BEVERLY HILLS: Paper editor David Hershkovitz heads to the Michael Jackson exhibit in Beverly Hills and starts twitter: "OMG. I'm at the Michael Jackson non-auction site. MAJOR." Worth clicking over for Jackson's "not-creepy-at-all statue of frolicking children."
