With a reported four different options available for the final route of Expo Line's Phase II, the Expo Board will vote on a line tomorrow, reports Streetsblog. "The staff has recommended, and the Board will almost assuredly follow their recommendation, that they move forward with option "LRT-2" or in layman's terms a light rail option that will run down the existing right-of-way before turning down Colorado Avenue towards the coast." Meanwhile, in Expo-related news, the LA Times recently reported that some neighbors are floating the following idea: Rather than use the old Verizon building for an Expo maintenance yard, they'd like to see Bergamot Station used for the maintenance yard. Even though Expo officials say it's not even being considered, people who work at Bergamot Station are sufficiently rattled by the suggestion. [Streetsblog/LA Times]
