The LA Times follows up on West Hollywood real estate agent Ronald Shore's bid to loosen open house sign rules in that city, and who knows if it's political posturing, but Mayor Jeffrey Prang tells the paper "he's not inflexible and would be willing to explore easing restrictions to deal with the economic fallout of the housing market." Such a rule change would likely be temporary, but Prang also tells the paper he is worried that it would appear the city was favoring the real estate industry over another type of business in terms of easing restrictions, and that issues like access for the disabled have to be considered. Meanwhile, Shore is up to 185 signatures on his petition. [LA Times]
