Curbed Poll: Mid-Century in Sherman Oaks

New, 30 comments

Welcome to this version of "New To Market," our look at a listing with a reader vote. Consider this an unscientific way to take the buying pulse of a wary public. Feedback and nominees to the tipline, please.

For those who love Valley living, this mid-century home might be a good place to start. On one hand, the three-bedroom, one-and-three-quarter bath house has "vaulted wood beamed ceilings, large windows, built in book cases and a wood burning fireplace." And there's a big backyard for entertaining. One the other hand, the house is only 1,280 square feet, which explains why the rooms look so cramped in the photos. Can they even open the refrigerator door? There doesn't seem to be any sales history listed on Redfin or PropertyShark, so we're not sure what it's sold for in the past. Today's asking price: $574,000 or $448 per square foot. Listing is here.
