If you wanted to know what gangsters say to one another before drawing guns, check out today's LA Times story on that Sunday murder in Echo Park. One alleged gang member pulled up to a home off Echo Park Avenue, not too far from popular coffee shops Fix and Chango, leaned out the window and said, "Eric, how about if you die today?" before opening fire. The story also features an interview with a local resident about the influx of white people that have moved into Echo Park, while there are also two photos of skinny, coffee-clutching hipsters.
