Fake Grass Talk in the OC

While some people love themselves some fake grass, Garden Grove bans the stuff, claiming aesthetic reasons (a decision that has not gone over well with some residents). But tonight the City Council will consider changing that ordinance, reports the OC Register. "Planning Commissioners made a small change in staff's proposal stating that the installation could be done by a licensed professional or the homeowners themselves given the high costs of such installation. The proposed new ordinance would also require homeowners to use fade-resistant materials and combine the fake turf with live plants." Surely the live plants will at first be confused by the fake turf, but then the two will quickly become friends. [OC Register]
