Curbed Poll: Restored Midcentury Modern in Silver Lake

New, 46 comments

Taking a page from our sister site Racked LA, we're asking you to look at this home and vote on whether you like or dislike it—your choices are 'That's Rather Lovely!,' 'So close,' 'I feel strangely ambivalent about it,' or 'That's Rather Hideous!'

It should come as no surprise to regular readers that we totally dig this midcentury home in Silver Lake (even that wacky bathroom). The listing for this two-bedroom, one-bath 1,200 square foot split level home claims it was recently restored with a newer chef's kitchen (Wolf range, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry and a center island), a "butterfly roof line beams," fireplace, and built-in barbecue. The house was last sold in November 2005 for $689,000. Today's asking price is $799,000 or $666 (how auspicious) per square foot. Listing is here and here. But feel free to disagree with us.
