Red Curb Rumor

There's a delicious rumor kicking around Silver Lake that residents who are fed up with the increased street parking from the new pathway around the reservoir have resorted to painting the curbs red in front of their house. Presumably, they have driveways to pull into and just don't want the cars clogging up their streets. In terms of painting, it may not be a new thing: One longtime Silver Lake resident says he's seen at least one Silver Lake office paint a city -painted red curb GRAY so they could park. A quick fly-around the Silver Lake reservoir this morning didn't reveal any suspiciously red curbs, so who knows if this rumor is true, but if it is, you are crafty, Silver Lake residents! Hats off to you.
