The best posts usually originate in our comments. To give appreciation to our amazing (and sometimes angry) commenters we feature their broad strokes of wisdom in a tidy comment roundup.
1) Mo Meruelo, Mo Questions "Anecdotally speaking, it's pretty good to rent right now. I own a building and I've been trying to rent out a relatively nice place that is only a couple of years old with a yard and I'm barely getting over $2.00 per s.f. for it. And that took a couple of months of advertising, hard bargaining and many rounds of rent reduction. Potential tenants are more scrutinizing with higher expectations because there are plenty of options out there."
2) Still No Google Transit "I ride the bus to and from work everyday, and often use it (and the trains) to get to other places in the city. While the Metro Trip Planner is not perfect, it is more than functional. I use it on my iPhone all the time with ease. I have to ask: Are you people inept, or do you just like to complain about everything? There was a time just a few years ago when you had to either use the printed timetables or CALL the Metro operators to find out how to get around. Now you can look it up on the internet very easily and that is not good enough for you? Instead of wasting your energy bitching about your self-centered world, send a well written suggestion on how to make it better to Metro."
3) Latest Civic Park Designs, Everyone Weighs In "Will this be the first park in the world with more human feces than dog feces?"
4. LA Weighs Public Bike Share Program (Again): "Bike share program without decent bike infrastructure? Well, that would be as dumb as building an urban city without decent transit infrastructure...Wait a sec... I see a pattern here. And can we please get car-sharing back, as well? Come on, LA!"
